The newly formed office of Research and Biological Safety provides key support to our research efforts here at
UW with an integrated team approach in the review of research proposals, conduct of hazard assessments, and
compliance with environmental, health, and safety for all stages of research. Administers the University's
Biosafety Program, Research Diving Program, Research Occupational Health Program, Select Agent Program, and
Exempted Select Agent and Toxin Program. Serve as regulatory liaisons with CDC, NIH and others.
